Flowers Truly Reach Your Soul
October 14, 2007
Flowers are a simple, sincere and unobtrusive way to lift our spirits. They can bring a smile to a tired face or brighten up a room for someone who is under the weather.
Scientific research shows that flowers and plants have a beneficial impact on state of mind and emotions.
Rutgers University behavioral studies have proven that flowers provide a simple way to improve emotional health.
The presence of flowers triggers happy emotions, heightens feelings of life satisfaction and affects social behavior in a positive manner far beyond what is normally believed.
Did you know that flowers also help relieve stress? They can help you relax and stay calm, awaken erotic feelings and increase your sexual drive?
They enhance the capacity for emotional depth. They can help us get rid of hidden fears and cope with anger or pain.
Words reach your mind, while flowers truly reach your soul.
Throughout our hectic, fast-paced lives, we seek to rejuvenate ourselves physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Flowers, in conjunction with their design and color schemes, create feelings that enhance our moods.
What Is The Most Important Righteous Requirement Of Gods Law?
October 13, 2007
To live “under the law” is to live under the expectation of fulfilling God’s moral standards through one’s own human ability. However, rather than experiencing the joy of a clean conscience, we sometimes feel enslaved to legalism and guilt.
The problem is not with God’s moral standards but with the sinful nature of humanity.
James 1:14-15 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Therefore one is to walk by means of the Spirit, (which is eternal) and not walk by means of the flesh (which is death).
Both are systems that are complete in themselves. To understand one is to also understand the other.
If one chooses to walk by the Spirit, then of necessity one has to avoid walking in the flesh.
To walk in this case means to organize one’s life around one of these governing principles.
For instance, for walking by means of the Spirit, the governing principle is the ministry of the Spirit of God in one’s life. To walk by the flesh is to succumb to the moods and appetites of the flesh.
Inuit Eskimo Art As Investments
October 12, 2007
Many people collect Inuit art as investments. Inuit art is growing internationally but it has been suggested that the number of actual Inuit artists are actually declining. The creation of the Nunavut government which represents Canada’s third official territory, has resulted in many new employment opportunities for the Inuit, particularly the younger ones. Carving and the entire process of bringing back suitable stone from distant quarries to their own communities are hard work for Inuit art carvers.
Many young Inuit prefer to pursue less physically demanding careers such as regular nine to five, weekday only government office occupations. As government offices grow, so will the local businesses to support them which create even more local jobs for Inuit people. These trends are not only affecting Inuit males but also females as well. As more young Inuit women move towards a ’southern’, i.e., more North American lifestyle, Inuit art drawing, wall tapestry and doll making will be less attractive skills to learn compared to office or retail skills.
The Fruit, the Whole Fruit, and Nothing but the Fruit
October 12, 2007
Once we become a new creature in Christ, we are given a special gift of “supernatural” vision. This is a gift of discernment in order to protect us from the things we see in the natural. This new vision takes us deeper to see the things that are seen beyond the natural. We no longer trust what our eyes see,we see what our heart sees. God knows that our eyes can be deceiving so He gave us this gift in order to protect us from the wolves in sheep’s clothing. As an example,I would like to use my flower garden. Last spring I was checking on my flower garden that I had planted the year before.Much to my delight the flowers I had planted seemed to be flourishing, but soon they looked as they were taking over and nothing was blooming.
Although these imposters took on a similar appearance, upon closer examination I soon realized that they were weeds choking out the original flowers. My precious flowers were being robbed of the essential sunshine and nutrients. Then it came to me, I remembered an important lesson that Jesus taught about discernment. It was simple really. He said you can tell if something is good by the fruit it produces. This not only applies to flowers, but people also. Without hesitation I pulled these seemingly innocent plants out by the roots, therefore giving the good fruit bearing plants a chance to grow and flourish.
How Can I Tell What Vibes Im Sending Out?
October 11, 2007
The Law of Attraction exists in your life right now; whether you understand it or not, whether you know it or not, and whether you like it or not.
Until you learn to use the Law of Attraction in a deliberate way, most of the time you are not aware that you are attracting into your life-more of-whatever you are giving your focus, attention, and energy to. This is referred to as non-deliberate attraction. It can be described in a 4-step cycle:
Step 1: I observe what I’m attracting in any area of my life.
Step 2: While observing what I’m attracting, I’m offering a corresponding vibration, whether negative or positive.
Step 3: The Law of Attraction is always checking in to see what my vibration is and matches it obediently, whether wanted or unwanted.
Step 4: As the Law of Attraction responds to my vibration, I receive or manifest into my life, more of what I was observing in the first place.
Then, the cycle begins at Step 1 and repeats itself over and over again. Here’s how the cycle may be working in your life right now.
Whats A Single Christian To Do?
October 10, 2007
It’s Saturday night. You’re sitting at home. Your phone has not rung in the past few hours. As a matter of fact, your phone hasn’t rang much in the last two weeks (other than the bill collectors). You sit there. You pull up the movie offerings on Comcast. And you wonder - ‘Is this what life is all about?’
You think to yourself - ‘Shouldn’t I be out with someone?’ And, even if you didn’t want to go out, shouldn’t someone at least have called so that you could have the pleasure of saying no? Or should you call someone to ask him or her out, though you’re sure they’ll say no?
I mean, it’s not like you don’t have other options - as much as you don’t want to use them. You would call your ‘girls’, but you’re starting to think you’re related to them because you see them so much. Or, you could call the ‘fellows’, but one more made up story about how many girls your one friend has will definitely send you over the edge. So what’s a girl or boy to do?
Export/Import of Inuit Eskimo Art Sculpture Containing Whalebone or Ivory
October 9, 2007
The export of certain Inuit sculpture from Canada to other parts of the world including the United States does have some restrictions. In order to reduce harvesting of marine animals such as whales and walruses, the United States Congress passed the Marine Mammal Protection Act in 1972. It was later modified in 1981 and a special section (101) of the act was developed to exclude Eskimo Inuit and other aboriginals living in the state of Alaska. Section 101 allowed Alaskan Natives to continue their traditions of hunting marine mammals for food and using parts of such animals as raw materials in the making of clothes, crafts and artwork.
The act makes it illegal for American citizens to import any ivory or whalebone from outside the United States. Therefore, American citizens would not be allowed to purchase any artwork containing ivory or whalebone from Canada and have it brought or shipped back to the United States. However, the act as it stands allows American citizens to purchase similar artwork from Alaska since it is part of the United States. The export of such artwork created from marine mammals from the United States to Canada is not allowed.
A Common Sense Approach to Religious Freedom
October 8, 2007
Down through the centuries and all over the world, the battle for religious freedom has been a bitter one. The United States has been no exception. Although most of those who founded this country came here seeking religious freedom, it has been a source of contention from the beginning and remains so today. There are fanatics on both sides of this issue. On one side, we have those who think their religious freedom is being violated if they are not allowed to force their religion down everyone else’s throat. One the other side, we have those who believe it’s their inalienable right to never be exposed to any element of religious life. Both extremes are wrong. Government should be neither hostile to any religion nor an enforcer of it. Instead, those who possess common sense should be capable of assenting to a happy medium.
How to Stop Attracting Negative People to Your Life
October 7, 2007
Placing your attention, energy and focus on the negative aspects of some people in your life brings you more of the same. Simply put, that’s the Law of Attraction at work.
When you shift your attention to the kinds of people you DO want in your life, that shift, coupled with your clear desire to STOP attracting negative people into your life, will set the energy in motion for new results to show up. When you shift from what you don’t want, to what you do want, your vibration changes. And know this-you can only hold one vibration at a time! The Law of Attraction is always matching your vibration in any given moment.
The Law of Attraction can be used to ensure that you are always in vibrational harmony with the people you are attracting into your life. If you plot your vibration on a scale that measures from 1-100, with 100 being the highest calibration, you are currently attracting other people into your life that match your score on this scale. In other words, if your vibration measures 75 on this scale and a person in your life measures closely to that, you are a close vibrational match. It is also important to realize that if your vibration measures 30 on this scale, you are a close match to another person whose vibration is at 30.
Has God Ever Disappointed You in Prayer?
October 7, 2007
Of a truth, the physical manifestations of God’s answers to our prayers do nto come as quikly/immediately as we ask from Him. Why? God answers our prayers each time we pray to Him, but the manifestation of some of these prayers are delayedat times due to reasons best known to God, some of which He in His infinite mercy Has laid in our heart to share with the people of God to strenght and encourage them to pray., because no prayer goes unanswered, only the TIMING of the manifestation matters.
One of the reasons for this actions of God is not far fetched, man in his nature of sin is bound to be proud, regarding himself as a superhuman or as if it is his holiness ( or because he is better that others),or magnitude of prayer, or time of praying and fasting that have given him attetion before God and made his prayers to be answered. He then consider others who though have prayed but have not received answer as people of lesser faith, prayers, fasting or holiness.
