Divining your Number of Destiny

November 13, 2007

Your Destiny Number, which describes all of the talents and potentials that are at your disposal in this lifetime, is calculated from the letters that compose your full birth name. This is not your married name, but rather the name that is found written in full on your birth certificate. If your name is misspelled on your birth certificate, use that to configure your destiny number.

The interpretations of your Destiny Number below are an indication of the things that you need to live up to or accomplish in this lifetime. Unlike the Life path Number, which is more about your limitations due to your ancestry or physicality, this calculation offers you a glimpse of what opportunities should be available to you as you travel the Life Path. The value of your Destiny Number is that it shows you what you are truly capable of or what you should look for when it comes to realizing your highest potential.

To calculate your Destiny number treat each of your names separately and add up the values according to the conversion chart below.

Ernesto Apomayta offers Explanation of Mediums, Paints, & Techniques Used by Artists

November 12, 2007

Special Types of Mediums

Rice paper is a very delicate medium with lots of natural imperfections that lend beauty and character to the painting. Some rice paper has flecks, sparkle, gold, and silver incorporated within the paper. After painting, the rice paper is mounted to another sheet of rice paper to form a backing.

Silk fabric is used as a medium for painting. It comes in various colors such as white, gold and greenish gold. It is very durable, but difficult to paint on. The painter must have lots of patience. He must paint over and over with the natural inks to create depth and strength of color. The fabric tends to absorb color rapidly. Silk is a medium of the Royalty; it creates a background of softness and elegance to any painting.

Explanation of Natural Inks

The ancient people of Aztecs, Mayans, and Incans all used natural inks. The Chinese also have used natural inks for thousands of years. Natural inks are non toxic, versatile and can be used to create different effects on various mediums such as rice paper, silk, and cotton paper. The colors are brilliant and as varied as nature. Even today it is possible to see these brilliant natural inks still well preserved in ancient artifacts of Central, South America, and Asian Countries such as China and Japan.

God Will Forgive Your Sins

November 11, 2007

This was an article I did for a friend of mine.

I received your email on your friend who apparently is having a hard time in dealing with whether or not God will really forgive her for some bad “sins” in her past. You asked that I send you over some of the Bible verses on forgiveness.

I’m assuming your friend is already a Christian. I’m assuming she has already confessed each of these sins before God and has asked for His forgiveness. If she has not, then that will be the first step she will need to complete.

She will need to go before God the Father, confess each one of the sins individually and ask God for His forgiveness. If she confesses each one of these sins from her heart and is really serious with God about each of these sins - then she will be forgiven - no questions asked! This will be a done deal.

Letters from Christ: the Calligraphy of the Spirit

November 11, 2007

Their reasoning must have been, “This is the precious gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! No amount of effort or expense would be wasted. Let’s make it beautiful.”

And beautiful falls short in describing these manuscripts! They dyed the finest parchment purple and carefully sewed them together into quires of four sheets which, when folded, made sixteen pages. Several of these quires they tied together to form a codex, the ancient equivalent of a book. Scribes then copied the words of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, using gold and silver ink.

In one particularly beautiful manuscript, the words of Jesus and angels appear in crimson or gold; words quoted from the Old Testament and quotations of the disciples are blue; the words of the Pharisees, of Judas Iscariot, and of the devil are black; and all the other words are vermillion. This masterpiece resides in the National Library of Paris.

We find the beauty and craftsmanship of such manuscripts impressive, but these products of parchment and pen are not nearly as beautiful witnesses to the gospel as the epistles Paul describes in Second Corinthians chapter 3, verse 3: "You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts."

Divining Your Karmic Number

November 10, 2007

Your karmic number interpretation tells you what you need to do in order to correct your actions from previous lives. It can also help provide invaluable instruction as to what to do so that you can reap the rewards of the seeds that you sow in this life.

To divine your karmic number, you must first add together all of the letters of your full birth name.

For example, let’s take the example of actor Brad Pitt, whose full name is William Bradley Pitt.

Using the chart below we would take all of the letters of his name and assign them the numerical equivalents as designated on the chart below.

A J S 1— B K T 2— C L U 3— D M V 4— E N W 5— F O X 6— G P Y 7— H Q Z 8— I R 9

The resulting equation for William Bradley Pitt would look like this:

5+9+3+3+9+1+4+2+9+4+3+5+7+7+9+2+2 = 84

This number would then be redid to a single digit in the following manner:

8+4 = 12

1+2 = 3

Therefore Brad Pitt’s Karmic Number would be 3.

Painting as a Spiritual Expression

November 9, 2007

Is a painting no more than a piece of paper with lines and color or is it more than that? In the hands of the master painter, who is painting in the spirit; the lifeless piece of paper with its lines and colors, is transformed into a creation that has life, just as the master creator gave life to his creation. The painter transmits the essence of his spirit to his creation, the "painting."

A painting is the expression of the heart and soul; it transmits cultural messages and the mysteries of the universe. It is born out of the desire of the artist to represent the forms of nature and man through the spirit of the artist as he perceives his world.

An artist not only captures the forms of nature, the artist’s spirit interacts with the spirit of the animals or men he is painting. His painting captures both the spirit and the message of its subject. One can see it in the expression, the eyes, and the gestalt of the painting. All good paintings communicate an emotion or message to the observer. It might be a message of love, harmony or tranquility; or it might be a message of danger, fury, or sadness. It could be a lesson, or something that all of us as humans can identify with, such as a desire to be loved.

Gods Providence in a Jericho Journal

November 8, 2007

What if excavators uncovering ancient Jericho found the following journal?

Monday: Today Israelites have finally come, gathering by the thousands, then marching around the city, inspecting our formidable walls. They must be impressed; they do not even try to attack. By morning they’ll probably give up and leave.

Tuesday: They have not left but are marching around the city, same as yesterday. Not one makes a sound, except the blowing of their horns. No doubt they’ll attack tomorrow or else be gone.

Wednesday: They have neither attacked nor gone away. They just march around Jericho. What are they up to? We’re all making fun of them. All except the harlot innkeeper, who just watches in silence, clutching her cloak around her and shuddering as if she’s freezing. Their general must be insane!

Thursday: The marching continues. Perhaps their general is not insane. Perhaps it is a clever strategy. Our people do not taunt them as much as yesterday. The harlot’s relatives have all gathered to her at the inn. Does she know something the rest of us don’t?

Impractical Magic

November 7, 2007

Witchcraft is a messy, expensive, time-consuming, and inefficient way to achieve your aims. I know, because I’ve tried it …

For instance, I once tried to increase my abundance by applying the principles of Feng Shui. So, I bought a $40.00 book which instructed me to enhance my “prosperity” by putting chimes on the porch, an aquarium full of gold fish in the front hallways and a jolly statue of a Buddha at the front door. Before I knew it my phone was ringing off the hook with people asking to” reserve a table for four at seven.” Unfortunately what I really wanted was writing gigs!

I have also tried “clearing” my space, the Native American Indian Way by doing a “smudge”. This means walking around your house in a counter-wise circle with a flaming bundle of North American grasses. Well, I must of done something wrong, like perhaps accidently eliminate the good vibes that were already in my house, because before I knew it, a bunch of nasty energy invaded my space - an angry landlord, neighbours and members of the fire department all demanding to know what the strange reek was and why I kept setting off the fire alarm. It didn’t help that I was doing this ritual “sky clad” which is witch-talk for buck-naked.

Sealed With the Holy Spirit

November 6, 2007

At the moment of salvation when we accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, three most amazing things will happen. The first is that we get automatic forgiveness for all of our sins - all past, present and future sins that we will ever commit. The second thing that will occur is that we will get to go straight to heaven when we die and cross over because we have now become saved and born again.

However, there is a third thing that will occur that some Christians really don’t realize or have full knowledge of. At the exact moment that we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and become saved and born again - we also instantaneously “receive” the third person of the Godhead - the Holy Spirit Himself!

The Bible tells us that both God and Jesus live in heaven. However, when we become saved and born again - we literally get to receive the Holy Spirit Himself. He literally, and I mean literally, comes to live on the inside of us. As you will see in the Scripture verses I will list below - our bodies have now become the temple of the Holy Spirit because He is now living on the inside of us! Not only does the Holy Spirit come to live on the inside of us as a result of accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior, but the Bible also tells us that we have now become “sealed” with the Holy Spirit.

Painting Philosophy of Peruvian Artist

November 6, 2007

Life

I paint with an emphasis on expressing LIFE (the spirit and the soul) which is the expression of my love for the natural world and its creatures. From the heart of my Incan cultural comes my love and respect for nature. I honor my love of nature and man by painting with a balance of rhythm, harmony, and movement. This is the tradition of my people the Incans Indians of Peru, and the Chinese Philosophers which I studied at the Central Institute of Fine Arts of China. Thus, when I paint, the animals have a voice, the spirit of nature speaks, and man travels in harmony with nature and God.

Use of Color & Patterns

I render an emotional tone of the rhythm of the Incan Indian life through my vibrant use of color. I use bright and radiant combinations of reds, turquoises, purples, and oranges, which characterize the textiles and ceramics of the Peruvian Andean. It is believed that the colors appease the spirits so that they will be happy and will not bring forth darkness. I employ simple swirling patterns to transmit a sense of the peace and harmony that radiate from the Incan Indians close interrelation to the land. It is this sense of the sacredness in nature that comes from deep within my works.
