  • Human Evolution Timeline: Bible Quote and Science

    January 21, 2008

The human evolution timeline is found recorded in Bible quotes (Book of Genesis). Adam’s rib symbolizes the chromosome and is the key to the man ape evolution. In discussing evolution vs creation, many convergences like this one are found.

Someone who holds to the theory of evolution and denies creationism might ask why such an important matter as the creation of human beings would be in a symbolic message rather than in explicit language. And, after all, the Holy Scriptures don`t talk about chromosomes. That is a valid question, which shall be pursued below. First off, the main interest is to see the points of confluence between evolution and creation regarding the appearance of the human being.

Parallelism Between Adam’s Rib and Science

There is an amazing coincidence between the numbers in the Book of Genesis involving creationism and numbers in science regarding man’s evolution from the ape. The parallelism begins on the Bible quotes according to which God took out one of Adam’s ribs and made the woman, Eve, with it.

Are You Doing the Good Part?

    January 20, 2008

Just compare yourself to these two sisters.

Even though they were sisters, Martha and Mary, acted very differently than each other one day when Jesus was with them.

Martha was busy serving all of the food while Mary sat by the feet of Jesus (Luke 10:38-42).

Martha showed how upset she was at her sister. She basically asked Jesus to tell Mary to get up and help her instead of just sitting there.

Jesus told her that she was careful and troubled about many things but only one part was needed and Mary had chosen that good part.

Martha How does this affect you? Which one of the sisters are you acting like? Are you acting like Martha did in her hurried work for the Master?

Sometimes we can be too busy to even listen to God. It’s really sad but even if you’re doing the work in a church for the Lord, you might miss the most important part…

The thing is that Martha did the work but her mind was not where it should have been. She was troubled. She was disturbed.

    On Being Human

    January 20, 2008

Are we human because of unique traits and attributes not shared with either animal or machine? The definition of “human” is circular: we are human by virtue of the properties that make us human (i.e., distinct from animal and machine). It is a definition by negation: that which separates us from animal and machine is our “human-ness”.

We are human because we are not animal, nor machine. But such thinking has been rendered progressively less tenable by the advent of evolutionary and neo-evolutionary theories which postulate a continuum in nature between animals and Man.

Our uniqueness is partly quantitative and partly qualitative. Many animals are capable of cognitively manipulating symbols and using tools. Few are as adept at it as we are. These are easily quantifiable differences - two of many.

Qualitative differences are a lot more difficult to substantiate. In the absence of privileged access to the animal mind, we cannot and don’t know if animals feel guilt, for instance. Do animals love? Do they have a concept of sin? What about object permanence, meaning, reasoning, self-awareness, critical thinking? Individuality? Emotions? Empathy? Is artificial intelligence (AI) an oxymoron? A machine that passes the Turing Test may well be described as “human”. But is it really? And if it is not - why isn’t it?

    Inner Peace

    January 19, 2008

Are you content and at inner peace?

Or are you insecure and filled with worry?

Imagine your life with more inner peace. Imagine it as fully as you can. Would you feel better about yourself and your life? Your answer may be a resounding yes, but it’s not always clear how to obtain this inner peace. How do we gain inner peace when things are seemingly not going our way? Many famous saints, sages, prophets and philosophers like Jesus, the Buddha, Mohammed, the Dalai Lama and countless others have all called us to the experience of peace within our selves. Yet few of us have found the treasure they all point to.

    DEFINING INNER PEACE

It might help to understand what inner peace is and isn’t. Inner peace is not a state obtained where finally everything about our self, our life, and our world is perfect. Inner peace is not found at the end of a goal. Instead, it is an internal sense of calm in which we receive all life’s experiences. It is the ability to handle situations and conflicts, in life and in ourselves, with acceptance, empathy, and creativity. Inner peace can also be defined as having a calmness and general freedom from anxiety. Inner peace is about connection: to self, to nature (earth), to a higher self, and to others. And in my experience, those connections occur in that order.

Why Go To Church - Want To Know 13 Reasons?

    January 18, 2008

It’s not necessary to go to church in order to get saved and therefore go to heaven, but going to church still has very important benefits that can help improve your life and keep it in order.

Below are 13 reasons why we should attend church services on a regular basis.

    1. Because it is an act of obedience to God and it honors the Lord’s Day. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy (Ex. 20:8).

    2. Because we need to belong to a community of faith that includes our brothers and sisters in Christ who are trying to live out the gospel just like we are.

    3. Because we will benefit from being taught and led in worship by others, rather than always depnding on ourselves to read and study the bible.

    4. Because we need regular reminders of our standing in Christ, help in acknowledging and confessing our sins, and teaching about God’s truth.

    5. Because we need help in praying, tithing and fasting.

    6. Because we need help to face the issues of life and faith as presented through the teachings of the Bible.

    Unguided Men

    January 17, 2008

Humanity - the sole endeavor of sanctity in every man, the moribund symphony serenading in all perceptions, the extinct deference suggestive of life-humanity. Something already sold to that trait of the individual defined as war.

War is never introduced but is in the presence of man as in birth, it is left to man to either seek its vice or pertain himself to the fountainhead of life ? humanity. Self is the greatest, yet the most malicious proposition of existence introduced to man. We are men - of flesh, blood and avarice. The flesh is of self, the blood is for self and the voracious avarice is self. And just to promote this very self ? the audacious euthanasia steps forth onto the threshold of existence.

    January 16, 2008

Rudraksa Beads were found to be ideal for focused Meditation and other Spiritual Practices.

It is remarkable to consider that natural beads of vegetable matter from the Rudraksh Tree affect the human neurophysiology as described in Vedic Literature however recent scientific research has again found Vedic knowledge to be correct

A combined study to research the Biomedical Implications of Rudraksa was conducted with the Departments of Biochemistry, Electrical Engineering, Psychiatry, General Medicine and Psychology. This study proved and documented the powers and effects of Rudraksha Beads scientifically with reproducible results

    Emotional Baggage

    January 15, 2008

We all have them. It has many faces. We carry them around us, We store them in the remotest part of our brain, in the deepest chambers of our hearts. We have them in our extensive database of memories. Some are so close to the heart, it brings out tears at the slightest provocation. Others may feel anger, very deep resentments and may exhibit anti-social or antagonistic behaviours .

Shadows follow and haunt many, in their dreams or waking hours, in unlikely places, unexpected and intimidating Uncontrollable anger that can lead to violence can explode without warning.

Others will live in denial and spend their lives disconnected with the real world. Some will find blame in everyone except themselves; it’s always the other person’s fault. What about victims and the victimizers?

Many are lost searching for something, they can not identify. Something is missing. A mass of lonely faces line the crowded streets, sit in public places, in schools, agonize through the day in the workplace , gather at churches perhaps to seek solace. Everyday. we see a vast sea of sad , depressed and unfriendly faces. Our roads are open avenues to lash out their frustrations, thus uncontollable road rage. Scary.
