Mirrors of Reality

January 15, 2008

Have you ever looked into a mirror and wondered what happened that changed you from the last time you looked?

Good news! It really doesn’t matter if it was a good change or not!

Why not? Because you really aren’t looking at something that’s real! It’s not only temporary but it’s distorted!

God’s Word is Your Mirror of Reality We are told in 2 Corinthians 3:18 that God’s Word gives us a clear picture of who we are and what we have been promised.

When we look into that mirror we actually see the real reflection and as we do it more we become more and more like Jesus. That is our goal.

There are many times that people try and try to follow all of a list of rules. They think Christianity is too difficult and give up trying. They are looking at the distorted, blurry image and thinking that it’s permanent.

Reality God loves us so much that He’s made it easy for us to change for the better. His word is our mirror of the reality of how He sees us, not how we do.

Yes Tarot Readings Are For You!

January 14, 2008

Have you ever thought?

What is the best way out of this situation or which job do I take which decision do I make and offcourse which path is best! Choices, choices, choices, life is all about choices.

This is where Tarot readings can be and are an important tool!

Some sceptics may say this is baloney, but I am sure they have not experienced the power of the Tarot, closed minds never benefit and so these people limit themselves.

I know the power of the Tarot first hand and how this exciting medium can help and indeed has helped many, many people.

Tarot lays out the different choices a person has in regards to a given situation!

The reader if the he or she is a good one will never say you must take this choice or that choice. Instead a good reader will advise, giving options for the person to make informed decisions.

Good Tarot readers, genuinely want to help people!

To better their lives by making good decisions. Readers will give warnings where an outcome of a decision could be negative and will reinforce all positive aspects.

The Dark Side of The Pope

January 13, 2008

If you look at just the man/women after he/she has died, what part of the humanity do you eulogize?

Every person has something to bring to us in his or her death; it is a gift from the other side and is the knowledge of the past and an open door to a new path for the future. The life lived by any person can motivate us to a brighter and more enlightened future.

Most of us try to eulogize all the good stuff we know of the person, and yet there is much to be learned about of this person and his life from the dark side as well, the side that we know little about. Our lives are all physical statements of how enlightened we are and were we stand on the path to total awareness; it is our thought process gone physical.

One’s light can only shine from the background of darkness and if light was all that there was we would not know it.

The Late John Paul II, leader of the Roman Catholic Church died leaving behind Christianity’s testament to the dark side of humanity.

Eleven Keys to Success and Happiness

January 12, 2008

1. Mend a quarrel Seek out a forgotten friend and tell them how much you enjoyed them once and that you wish them peace.

2. Dismiss Suspicion Take a risk of getting hurt and replace that suspicion with Trust.

3. Write a Love Letter I don’t mean a mushy one. Write someone and tell them how much you appreciate them in your life and the joy they brought you at your last meeting. Do this daily.

4. Keep a promise It’s never to late to say?I forgot. If you said you would do something, by all means follow through?.you are the one that will feel better for it.

5. Forgive an enemy Listen and apologize if you were wrong. Try to understand their point of view. Don’t try to be right. Examine your demands on others.

6. Appreciate, be kind, be gentle, laugh a little Does this need to be explained?

7. Express you gratitude Daily Be thankful for what you do have and who you are. "I was having pity for having no shoes until I met a man with no feet".

8. Decry Complacency Raise your standards. Mediocrity drains your energy. Excellence catapults your energy to another level.

Business Ethics: How The Sales Function Can Transmit Company Values

January 11, 2008

I recently got a “thank-you” call from a man who read my new e-book Buying Facilitation.

“Boy,” he said, “this method sure helps me close more deals and make more money. Thanks!”

“Glad I could help. Is that all you’re looking for? To make more money?”

“What do you mean?all? What else is there? Sales is about closing deals and making money, right?”

“I’m surprised you didn’t notice the value of becoming a trusted advisor, or how you can use the seller’s role as one of a servant-leader to lead your clients to discover their solutions quickly.”

“Well, I noticed all that. But it’s all in service of me closing deals and making money, right? I don’t mind doing it nicely if it gives me better results. But what’s sales about if my job isn’t about me making money?”

I’m wondering how many people out there still believe sales to be a job that is focused on making money? Or only about making money. All of us want to get paid fairly for what we do. The question is: how can we make money and make nice.

Women as Catholic Priests: The Time for Change is Now

January 10, 2008

In ancient Rome, the cradle of democracy, women had no rights. Their place was in the home under the custody and control of the master of the house, which would often be the husband or father. Her job was to take care of the house and family. She had no vote, could not govern, nor even conduct her own affairs without the oversight of a man. These are actions viewed as crude and uncivilized by today’s standards.

However, even during these primitive times of democracy women were still allowed to be priestesses in Rome. The Vestal Virgins were honored and revered by men and women alike for their years of sacrifice and service to the Goddess Vesta. So how is it that over two thousand years later, the Catholic Church still refuses to ordain women for service in the Church as priests?

Admittedly, it has been only very recently that most of humanity has decided to allow women the privilege of being acknowledge as an equal with men. In fact, it is only within the last century that American women have been allowed to vote or hold a political position. However, during this time women’s rights have made significant advances. Women now work outside the house, hold political office ? even at a national level, have ready access to equal education, and yes, they even conduct religious services in many religions.

Bureaucracy in Peru!

January 10, 2008

This article is from the pen of a New Zealander currently living in Lima, Peru.

I have never experienced anything like this!

This is not the first developing country I have ever lived in, The situation here is chaotic and that is being kind!

Lesson # 1. In Peru you must wait, don’t expect anything in a hurry!

You will wait in line to enter the Hospital to visit your loved-ones, make sure you have the required documents that the hospital security demands or you will be refused entry. I have seen first hand a man in a wheelchair turn up for treatment only to be refused entry. The man’s relative had to go to the security station and summon a hospital nurse to persuade the officer to allow entry for treatment!

Lesson # 2. In Peru you must accept the word No!

Lets go to the Italian Institute of Culture. It’s 7:30am Monday Morning and you are in the line. You are number 12 by your calculation, that’s good as there are only twenty tickets given out! A Security officer appears and tells everyone that no one is in attendance today, come back tomorrow. There is No ADMITTANCE TODAY, never mind that you have been waiting in line since 5:00am!

Colors: How Do They Make You Feel?

January 8, 2008

One of the most important colors in advertising is the color blue. Calm, comforting, soothing, and peaceful are all feelings evoked from this color. The color blue is also often used in a smooth way, many night clubs and upscale stores will use this color to provide a sense of an icy ambiance and a cool feeling. When you touch blue you can feel the calmness yet smooth and cool feeling that it gives. Blue is the color of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven. This color is also the color of water when advertisers want to place a visual for something that is technically clear. Pepsi, Aquafina, and several other drink makers rely heavily on this color for their advertising. This color can also be used to promote cleanliness as well as air and sky related products. Blue is also often used in high-tech product companies such as IBM and INTEL.

Conclave: Electing a New Pope

January 7, 2008

Upon the death of the Pope, a monumental sequence of events unfolds, culminating in a process known as the conclave whereby a new Pope is elected to lead the Roman Catholic faith.

Beneath Michelangelo’s revered ceiling in the Sistine Chapel, the College of Cardinals, led by the Cardinal Camerlegno (Cardinal Chamberlain), Eduardo Martinez Somalo, begins the arduous process of selecting the pope’s successor. The Cardinalate currently consists of 117 cardinals from all over the world. In the conclave, an event enduring little change since the thirteenth century, the cardinals take an oath of secrecy, that if broken renders the offender automatically excommunicated from the church. There are no televisions, radios, or newspapers allowed inside the conclave.

The Cardinal Electors, almost all of whom were appointed by Pope John Paul II, will vote in a very thorough process of secret balloting where a two-thirds majority is needed to elect a new Pope. The College may vote up to four times a day, but if a new Pope has not been chosen by the third day, then the cardinals cease the voting process for a day of prayer and reflection. Following the day of prayer, the cardinals will commence for another seven votes, then another day of prayer. If after 12 days a pope has still not been elected, then the two-thirds majority vote is negated and a vote by simple majority is instated.
