Mexican Living: The Unexplained

The inexplicable bothers me. It always has. You know, the “Unsolved Mysteries” that plague mankind. I know I must have some brain damage from all the headache-inducing mysteries I have tried to figure out in my lifetime.
Mexico isn’t any different from America in that regard. There are all sorts of mysteries here that vex me to no end. I want answers and none are forthcoming. I need closure and everything remains open. Some of these Mexican mysteries are mindboggling and that is the topic for today’s column.
1. Why is it that when you are hunting for the scorpion you saw ten minutes ago, now that you are armed with something to kill it, it is nowhere in sight? But, when you have settled down and gotten over the fright, it reappears.
2. What does a fly do all through the “no-fly season” to get so big and fat? Where does it go? What does it eat to get so big?
3. Where are Mexicans going in such a hurry all the time? It is a culturally documented fact that “time” does not mean the same thing to Mexicans as it does to anal-retentive Americans and that they NEVER get to an appointment on time EVER! So why are they driving at breakneck speeds and why do bus drivers honk their horns furiously when stuck in traffic?
Helping Others - What Did Jesus Say?

Helping others was something Jesus did on a daily basis. He was constantly approached by people, but He always found time to stop what He was doing to help those in need. This is a lesson we must learn if we want to be anything like Jesus, our savior.
THE GOOD SAMARITAN
While Jesus was teaching one day, a man in the crowd tried to test him to see if he would give a wrong answer. He asked Jesus, what he must do to inherit eternal life.
Jesus, who knew the man was a lawyer, told him to follow the law, which says to love God and love your neighbor. In order to justify himself, the lawyer asked who his neighbor was. Jesus then responded with this parable.
Ways to Bring Play into Your Life

1. roll around in the grass, and don’t brush the grass off.
2. drive/walk a different way to work, or wherever you usually go.
3. wear glitter underneath your work clothes.
4. wear a bright orange tie.
5. smell a flower fully, and thank it for its beauty.
6. smile at stranger.
7. go thru the children’s aisle in any store and imagine what toy you’d love to play with.
8. buy that toy.
9. do kart-wheels.
10. say yes when you would say no.
11. say no when you would say yes.
12. stand in front of the mirror and say " I am king/queen of the universe!"
13. call a friend and invite them over for play time
14. climb up the slide at a playground
15. turn the volume of your thoughts down
16. turn the volume of your heart up
17. stop. Breathe. Giggle. Look around you
18. remember that its never too late to be what you always wanted to be
19. take yourself out for a play date.
20. laugh at yourself as much as possible.
Sexual Deviants and the Catholic Church

It is unfortunate that the Catholic Church seems to continue their abuse and molestation of our youth and children. Yet it is not all that surprising, since they are sworn to celibacy and there are known and documented physiological needs of man. Raging hormones in our youth and desire throughout our lives is a given of the human species. Asking someone to be celibate is problematic and makes sense that it would come with some baggage. For centuries the Catholic Church has raped, molested and had homosexual sex with orphans, alter boys and children of parishioners. Many nuns suddenly became pregnant certainly this was not believed to be divine intervention.
The biggest hypocrisy of all religion is that of the Priesthood, Cardinalship and staff of the Catholic Church at all levels. Today the Catholic Church has a chance to start with a new fresh face and fresh image, yet already they have called themselves into question by their appointment. This time, Benedict XVI: the Nazi Pope and former team member of the "Hitler Youth" has taken the stage. We are not to prejudge him, for he did not sign up willingly but rather by all accounts and Vatican Public Relations joined the Hitler Youth because it was ‘compulsory’. Not because he was a Jew hater.
Mexican Living: Issues of Life

This morning when I got out of bed, I had some severe issues that have been worrying me.
Friends and family wonder just what I do all day as an American Expatriate. I worry and I am good at it. So I thought I would share with you the life-shattering issues that worry me as an American Expatriate and that have been worrying me to no end.
Worry One: The Rainy Season. The rainy season is almost on us. We have about 6 weeks before all raining hell cuts loose on Guanajuato. So I have to plan just what am I going to do for fun and diversion while it’s raining outside and I cannot get out.
I will have to lay in a supply of extra hand towels to pack into the windows. You may not know this but all houses in Guanajuato leak like sieves and you have to stand vigil-day and night-over them when it rains. There is also the waterproofing plastic tape I will need to buy that I use to tape the small pinholes that spring up when I least expect it around the windows frames.
Guanajuato house builders do not build windows well.
Catholic Church Ready to Fall?

Americans waited for an explanation of the molestations of thousands of parishioners, they waited for a statement about abuses of power pedophilia and homosexuality of Priests. They did not get more than a little apology, which did not sit well with most Americans. To add further insult to injury Cardinal Law knew of the issues and moved priest from parish to parish, then left the United States to go back to Vatican. Several Priests in high profile cases were arrested and imprisoned. Several more Arch Dioceses went bankrupt.
No one seems to want to stick up for the Catholic Church in America and now even the Gay and Lesbian Associations want to differentiate themselves and their homosexuality from that of the Priests saying that the Priests do not discriminate by gender they molest both boys and girls and many of them while they might engage in adolescent sodomy, they are not straight homosexuals. There fore Americans should not assume that these Priests are part of the Homosexual Gay or Lesbian Groups. A new term is now being used instead "phenophilia" (sp?) which is the molestation of adolescents instead of pedophilia, which is synonymous with child molestation.
Getting In Touch With Your Inner Feelings

Every disease or ailment, whether it be cancer, diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure or something else, has a series of warning signs. In ever case, when we experience an abnormality, we tend to move quickly to do something to get back to normal. Our physical feelings tell us when we’re well, and they also tell us when we’re not well. If we want to live a long and healthy life we had better pay attention to our physical feelings.
In the same way, nature also gives us a way to tell what’s right for us and what’s wrong for us in life. Just as nature gives us physical pain to tell us when something is wrong in the physical realm, nature also gives us emotional pain to guide us toward doing or not doing things in the emotional or mental realm. The key to dramatically enhancing the quality of your life is simply to follow the guidance you are given. You should always listen to your mind, your body, and your emotions.
No Word Yet on Pedophiles With New Catholic Pope

The new Pope is not expected to break ranks with his fellow Cardinals or Army of Priests any time soon and come clean on the issues of child molestation and pedophilia. We all know and it is no secret that Catholic Priests around the world are pedophiles and child molesters. Not all but enough to be alarming as the problems are so wide spread it might be safer to take your kids and drop them off for the weekend at ‘Never Neverland Ranch’ then to leave them alone with the local Priest. Some argue and defend the church others know these things have been going on for over two thousand years.
In the United States we will shut down a school, day care center at the drop of a hat if there are even widespread rumors of such activity. Yet, the Catholic Church under the leadership of Cardinal Law simply moved the pedophile and homosexual phenophile (adolescent molestation) Priests around from perish to perish. We also know that this activity to this day goes on in the United States although the real problem is across the Globe as the Catholic Church has its fingers on every continent. Will the new Pope, Benedict XVI, come out with a statement against this common practice and method of operation of the Catholic Priests around the world? Can the Catholic Church afford to lose that many Priests; if so who will run the Church. No one seems to want to come out about the issue or make a statement on it.
Mexican Living: Somethings Got to be Done!

Mexico needs to do something about the behavior of Gringos who come to their country who are hell-bent on acting out the Ugly American Syndrome stereotype no matter what.
I concluded this after an early morning shopping trip with the wife to the local Supermarket. There I saw this 70-year-old hippie, with his gun moll, cussing up one aisle and down the other looking for liquor. Doesn’t that just figure? He ended his search with a screeching revelation,
“They don’t even have beer here for Christ’s sake!”
Why do Americans always want to attribute something mundane and worldly to Christ and for His sake? I mean, really, is it for Christ’s sake that this early morning lush was searching so diligently for some booze? Anyway.
So, off he marched after screaming loudly enough to wake the dead.
I have some ideas that Mexico could do to stem the ever-increasing tide of displays of the Ugly American Syndrome:
Islam Embraces the New Pope

The European Union has seen a huge influx of Muslims in its countries and is watching their incredible birth rates. The demographic switch is changing rapidly. Countries like Spain, France and Germany are looking to get along with Islam and the Middle East for reasons of trade and security from International Terrorism, especially after the Madrid train bombing. These countries do not wish to wage a war on terror, but rather appease Islamic Fundamentalism. Islam considers Catholics, Christians, Buddhists and Hindus all infidels, but of all peoples and religions they hate Jews the most. They hate the Jews due to historical record and also because they are taught to hate the Jews from a very early age in their schools.
