The New Heaven And New Earth
April 22, 2008
Now that Satan, all of his fallen angels and all of unsaved humanity have been cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, there is only one thing left. God will now give the rest of saved humanity their final reward - the new heaven and the new earth. Believe it or not, this is actually going to be better than what we will get during the Millennium Kingdom. This will be our final abode and something very awesome happens when we get this new heaven and new earth.
When we get the 1000 year Millennium Kingdom, we get Jesus literally coming down from heaven to rule our earth from the city of Jerusalem. When we get the new heaven and the new earth - WE WILL GET GOD THE FATHER HIMSELF LITERALLY COMING DOWN FROM HEAVEN TO OUR NEW EARTH AND NEW HEAVEN TO DWELL AND LIVE AMONG US FOREVER AND EVER! We will now have both Jesus and God the Father dwelling among us. Here is what basically is going to happen.
1. Our earth and our atmospheric heaven will “pass away.” In its place, we will get a new earth and a new atmospheric heaven.
Spainīs Flag - A Red And Yellow Beauty
April 21, 2008
Spainīs flag (the national one) is as colorful as the country itself with its red and yellow horizontal triband.
The yellow stripe is in the middle and is twice as tall as each red band, and the height of the flag is two-thirds the width.
A simplified version of Spainīs coat-of-arms is pictured on the yellow band, towards the hoist side.
The Spanish coat-of-arms includes the royal seal, framed by the Pillars of Hercules, which represent Gibraltar and Ceuta on either side of the eastern end of the Strait of Gibraltar.
The red banners display the motto in Latin PLUS ULTRA, which means “More Beyond”, alluding to Columbusī discovery of the New World.
The two columns flank a shield that displays a castle, a lion wearing a crown, red and yellow vertical stripes, chain mail, and three fleurs-de-lis in an oval in the center.
An ornate red and golden crown sits atop the shield.
The flag used today in Spain was officially adopted on 19 December 1981. Previous to this, there had been an eagle on it as well but, in 1981, the eagle was removed, leaving the current red/yellow/red triband with crowned arms.
Gratefulness
April 20, 2008
Gratefulness brings a great fullness to life. The choice to adopt and hold a moment-by-moment attitude of gratitude is the choice that differentiates those who suffer the slings and arrows of misfortune and those who are blessed with a joyous and abundant life.
Yes, that is correct. It is not the actual events and circumstances that occur during one’s journey through life that determine whether or not a person is happy and prosperous; it is the conscious and willful choice to be grateful for all the bounty that life has to offer AND to be grateful for the opportunity to participate in and contribute to the experience of life, which enables and empowers any individual, regardless of circumstance, to have a fulfilling life.
Like everything else on the path to mastery, gratitude is a choice. You can choose to wait for some meaningfully pleasant situation to arise and then feel gratitude in response, or you can choose to be grateful at all times, in all circumstances, and watch as the world conspires to assist you in your path.
The Great White Throne Judgment
April 19, 2008
Before we get the new heaven and new earth, there is one more event that must take place - the Great White Throne Judgment. In my last article, Satan is Let Loose One More Time, you saw that Satan will end up in the Lake of Fire and Brimstone forever and ever - never to bother, harm or tempt humans ever again! Now what happens to the rest of unsaved humanity?
They will all come before God in what is called the Great White Throne Judgment. This event has to be the most disturbing and most bothersome event in all of Scripture. Before this happens, the Bible tells us that all the unsaved people are kept in a place called Hades (Hell) until the Millennium Kingdom is up. Hades (Hell) is a temporary place of torment that these souls are kept in until they have to appear before God in this final judgment, which will determine their eternal fate once and for all.
The New King James version calls this place Hades. However, the Original King James version calls this place Hell. Either way - Hell or Hades is a temporary place of torment where all unbelievers go to before this judgment comes to pass.
Mythology and Parables in Modern Communication - Part 4
April 19, 2008
At the end of Part 3 in this series I was using my own Inspirational experiences as examples of how Self and Soul can erupt into your life. After the book manuscripts stopped flowing, music stepped in to take its place. I had not played the guitar in 20 years and all of a sudden I was being inspired to write song lyrics. Seven years later there are over 125 songs in my songbook, half of which have been put to music. My testimony here is factual. I’ve lived what I’m writing about in this mini-course. And through my years of practice I saw Inspiration, with Self & Soul behind the scenes, burst through for many individuals.
When those defensive blocks are removed from their positions of guarding the personality then the Creative River starts to flow. This can be quite startling in the beginning. Because when we’re used to protecting ourselves from real or imagined dangers, letting our Creative Self be expressed can be quite challenging. Most people would believe that opening oneself up like this should be a piece of cake. Not so. A well-defended, closed-up person can be taken aback by this new found creativity. However, knowing that this is coming about, as a result of relieving oneself of various life stressors, can easily temper this tumultuous creative thrust.
Why We Have Problems? A Coach Debates
April 18, 2008
As a coach, I often ask myself the question why human beings have problems. With the exception of terminal diseases, serious illnesses that are REALLY life-threatening situations and serious stuff, we do have problems for a number of reasons I will present below. But first of all, allow me, I will have to replace the word problem by "challenge" or "barrier" as used in the coaching jargon. Problems do not exist in the coaching world! However, changing the word, does not change the concept so a challenge, barrier or problem is pretty much the same thing.
Here are the four main reasons we have problems ? illness excluded:
1. Unclear intentions and objectives.
In other words, confusion in our head that shows in our daily life. When we are not clear about our objectives in life, career or business, our thoughts are scattered rather than solid. Scattered thoughts do not lead to significant action taking but to stillness or mess. Example: you want to quit your job because you want to start a business. At the same time you want to take a gap year to travel the world and you also want to make more money and possibly to write a book and to loose weight. Great!
Satan is Let Loose One More Time
April 17, 2008
After the 1000 years are up in the Millennium Kingdom, two additional things must happen before we get our new heaven and new earth. These two events will seal the fate of Satan and all the unsaved people who have ever lived once and for all.
This first event is almost unbelievable. When Jesus comes back for the second time to set up the Millennium Kingdom for a thousand years, the Bible tells us that Satan is chained up in the bottomless pit during those thousand years. He will no longer be free to torment or tempt humans during the Millennium Kingdom. However, after the thousand years are up in the Millennium Kingdom, Satan is let loose for one last final time to come upon our earth to try and cause more trouble.
The original King James version tells us that Satan will be let loose for a “little season.” The New King James version says he will be let lose for a “little while.” The Bible does not tell us how many years Satan will be allowed to run free again. All that we can surmise from the above words is that he will only be free for a “short time.” That could be 5 years, 10 years or 50 years if not longer.
Catholics Need To Take a Second Look at Morality
April 16, 2008
According to CNN, Catholics voted for President Bush over Senator John Kerry by a 51 to 48 percent margin. Hence, Catholics voted for a Born Again Methodist over a Catholic candidate. Many Catholic Bishops have declared abortion a "non-negotiable issue." In the diocese of Brooklyn, which encompasses Brooklyn and Queens, there is not a single memorial to those who have been put to death by our government. Nonetheless, I know of at least one parish in Brooklyn that has a three-thousand dollar memorial dedicated to the aborted. Meanwhile, 36 million people in the United States live in poverty. If the Bishops are not silent, they most certainly speak in a whisper when it comes to issues of social justice and the death penalty. The Catholic Bishop’s candidate, George W. Bush, executed nearly 30 individuals in 1999 alone.
Mythology and Parables in Modern Communication - Part 3
April 15, 2008
Our Self is the true center of our being and the place from which our individual truth emanates. It’s where we can come to know our passions, our place in the world, our purpose and our destiny. Without our Self we truly have nothing, except the reference structures around us which are now crumbling. Yes, crumbling! The evidence is there; we see it every day in the media. To clarify, crumbling here does not mean total disintegration, although some would argue that is indeed the case. To me it means a rather serious Reshuffling.
The signs or symbols that define this rising Era are the Self at the center of the personality and the Soul as its Spiritual counterpart. Ego now belongs to the dying era that we are leaving behind. Self and Soul are inextricably intertwined. They are one and the same at a fundamental level ? like Particle and Wave in Physics, which both describe the electron. Self and Soul are the same because they come from our Divine Nature which, by the way, does not reside anywhere but inside of Us. You, We, I, are the source of our Being and the home for this Divinity. You, We, I, are God, incarnate in a body.
Making Peace With Sloth: The Value of Natural Pace
April 14, 2008
Though his racing speed is a maximum 6 feet per minute, the sloth has won the race against time. It’s not that he’s immortal, it’s just that he’s efficient. While we micro manage time and monopolize our schedule, sloth simply is. In his just being he shows us the value of natural pace.
We don’t value this, certainly. Sloth is the only animal eponymous for a deadly sin. I do not know if sloth can translate our disdain. I do know that we are deaf to him. Sloth shows us a way to live that is gentle, creative, and ecologically friendly. And slow. We don’t like slow. We hear engines and sirens. Silence is mute.
We have many tired ways of looking at sloth, both as a creature and a philosophy. As a creature we define him very narrowly. This started a millenium ago. The word sloth began as Middle English for "slowthe" which means slow. Only 200 years passed and by the end of the 1300’s slothful became synonymous with lazy and unproductive. Ha!
