Women in Religion

May 6, 2008

During the debate in the Episcopal Church over whether or not to allow a homosexual bishop, a woman was presenting the argument against allowing a homosexual bishop. She stated that the Bible declares homosexuality to be wrong, which it does. If she really believed what the Bible said than she would have been quiet about church matters. In the New Testament the books of I Corinthians, I Timothy, and Ephesians women are told to just plain submit and do it quietly. In addition to dressing modestly they are to submit to their husbands and God. They are also to remain quiet regarding church matters. How can individuals say this is a book containing God’s divinely inspired word and then only follow sections that are convenient at the moment? Doesn’t that seem slightly off? A tad hypocritical?

In fact women are blamed for the original sin. It was all Eve’s fault that Adam deceived in the first place. Women can redeem themselves by having many children and submitting. Women are evil, shameful, weak and unclean…better to be seen and not heard.

Gold Jewelry -The Rest of The Story

May 5, 2008

Gold is one of the metals taken from the earth and is probably the first metal known to man. Its first use has been traced back to 3600 B. C. and was probably originally obtained in Egypt, as the ancient methods of obtaining gold in Egypt are illustrated in early rock carvings. It is said in the book of Genesis that Abraham, in the twentieth century B. C., when he went out of Egypt, was very rich not only in cattle but in gold and silver both in dust and ingots. In Exodus xxv, 29, we read that Moses was commanded by the Lord to make spoons of gold for the Tabernacle. In the writings of Homer, Sophocles, Herodotus, Pliny and others, gold is frequently mentioned.

Gold is widely distributed in nature and is found in many ways and in all parts of the world. It is found in water, in the ice of Alaska, in the sand of South Africa, and in the quartz of Colorado, and is frequently found native, though usually alloyed with silver or iron. The purest specimens of native gold have yielded from 96 to 99 per cent, pure metal.

Happiness-Marriage-Love-Divorce-Suicide-Peace Within-college

May 4, 2008

Too many of us seem to think that there should be 24-7 happiness in our life, so when there is problems in a marriage the temptation for affairs and divorce is there.

But where ever we are in our life, in or out of love, single or in a long term relationship or marriage, there is no 24-7 happiness.

There are happy moments to cherish and to hold us through the trials. Society has lead us to believe we should be happy and beautiful at all times and with someone happy and beautiful at all times.

The most important thing to remember when we are sad, are have feelings of depression or suicidal thoughts, is that we don’t know what the next moment will bring, perhaps the rainbow after the rain. Love could come at any moment, life changes sometime suddenly, sometime over a long period of time.

Than there are those of us who dream. But we don’t want to work to make our dreams come true. We want them to magically happen, and when they don’t or we can’t reach them so often we give up on everything, when we should find a new dream, a new direction in life.

Why Cardinal Ratzinger Chose the Name Pope Benedict XVI

May 4, 2008

Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger was elected to the papal throne on April 19, 2005, the second day of the conclave. He chose to be known henceforth as Pope Benedict XVI. The cardinal from Germany is the 265th pope in the Catholic Church history.

But why the name Benedict? We have long been accustomed to having a pope named John, or Paul, or a combination thereof. In fact, quite many catholics today have known only one pope in their lifetime. Well, at least before the late Pope John Paul II passed away and Pope Benedict XVI came along. Some, though, who are much older have also known Pope John Paul I and Pope Paul VI. A few lucky ones can even remember as far back as Pope John XXIII, the smiling pope who initiated the Second Vatican Council in the early 1960’s.

Why Benedict? In his first general audience held in St. Peter’s Square, the Pope explained that he chose the name Benedict XVI as a link to Benedict XV, the Italian pope who guided the Church during the turbulent era of the First World War. Pope Benedict XV tried many times, though unsuccessfuly, to negotiate peace among the warring nations. He organized significant humanitarian efforts to guarantee the well-being and freedom of people affected by the war.

Religion and Social Engineering - Part of an Introduction

May 3, 2008

Thomas Carlyle is just one of the interesting characters who had much to do with Calvinism and the Knox family he married into. Friedrich Nietzsche never really completed a book and yet before he went crazy his Wagnerian or Illuminized ‘radical aristocratic’ handlers used him well. Even so-called political religions like Marxism must be considered before we can understand the reasons for the likes of Francis Fukayama saying ‘absolute religions’ are important to his social engineering compatriots who I think are anything but patriots to the cause of any populace. Frederick T. Gates was a Baptist theologian in the Rothschild employ before they got more aggressive with the ‘invasions of science’ or the Palmer Raids and other controls including the Fed. We must go into the ‘torch-bearer of Christ’ (Hitler) a little more in this examination as well.

Precious Stones v.s. Semi-Precious Stones

May 2, 2008

Stones have been worn by both women and men since prehistoric times. Just as in the jewelry of modern times, beautiful stones, rare and colorful, are most often the dominant feature of a piece with a metallic setting for ornamentation.

The stones used in the crafting of fine jewelry are generally divided into two classes- precious stones and semi-precious stones.

These terms are used heavily in the commercial world of jewelry when considering variety and value. While artistic merits are only a matter of opinion, the value of a stone is what it will bring in the marketplace. It should also be mentioned that many people, collectors and general consumers alike, prefer the rare to the beautiful.

These stones are simply rocks (minerals) taken from the earth, and after they have been enhanced by the artisans cutting and polishing, the finest and rarest of them are what we call gems.

Precious Stones

The most precious stones are the diamonds, emeralds, rubies and sapphires. The pearl is oftentimes classed with precious stones. Although strictly speaking while it is not a stone it holds an esteemed place in jewelry.

Semi-Precious Stones

Spiritual and Sexual Healing

May 1, 2008

Couple issues such as spirituality and sexuality rank higher than financial reasons as the most affected items of a fumbling relationship. When it comes the moment to point out why a couple needs more intimate vigor, two wrongly things are sure to happen: Women are always blamed, and if both recognize that it’s a male matter, also women blame themselves. Their consequent silent follows a behavior that will never end the cycle if there is no communication and willingness to solve it.

I agree on communicative practices within the pair for finding a reconstructive way, if that is what both desire. But I also propose to call upon the Angels of relationships to ask for help, guidance, assistance and healing in this realm.

It’s just a matter of concentrating in the voice within to open your self into greater receptivity to their assistance. Practice this for a few minutes daily as you release all your thoughts and feelings. Simply place the relationship in the hands of your Angels and let go.

With your trust in Angels, your beau is also being helped. Spirituality within a couple is all about the union of mind, body and soul. It’s the inner joy that reflects the pleasure of having one another.
