Recently, an actor with a career spanning over half a century told of his humble beginnings and one of his character choices that changed his life forever, "I was newly married and a new father. We were barely making it; living off my waiting tables and doing a few acting jobs here and there.
A man called one day offering an assignment paying a lot of money (back then) to play a young rebellious man spewing out obscenities to his father. After thinking of the disrespect it would bring to my father, a good man, I turned it down and declared I would only play roles in which my family could be proud.
Almost a month later, the man called back with a respectable role and an offer to represent me as my agent. He said he could not stop thinking about me. He said, ‘If a man feeding his family off pennies could turn down an assignment offering this much money, there had to be something to him.’ He represented me as my agent for 30 years until his death.

And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. ?1 Corinthians 12:28 KJV.
The ministry gifts such as apostles, prophets, evangelist, teachers, and pastors receive much acclaim and recognition, as it should be. The Body of Christ needs every office set in the Church by God. However, there is a ministry not mentioned as much also set in the Body by our Lord. That is the ministry of helps. There is an important place for the minister of helps.
How would the church manage without the hands that help with the details? When something practical needs to be done, a person anointed to help steps in and sees to it that the job is completed. God is practical and good and so are they that help.2 The behind-the-scene jobs in the church often go unrecognized. Yet the humble tasks are the ones we benefit from the most.
There are faithful people who maintain the grounds, clean our church, make repairs, do plumbing, assist with the administration, type bulletins, usher, greet, watch babies, make sure the sound and electronics work smoothly, make snacks and food for the church, do dishes or simply help with the details. Praise God for those serving in the ministry of helps.

If our history allows that other nations would have given credit and rights based on his story - then almost any kind of secret agreement can be imagined. It must have involved the Holy Alliance which continued in such later acts as The Treaty of Verona between the Romano-Bruttii of Rome and England in 1822.

As senior pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of New York, Fosdick preached a sermon one Sunday in 1922 that aroused the righteous indignation of fundamentalists and he suddenly found himself at the center of a heated theological controversy. In order to understand the tension that existed between fundamentalism and modernism, it is necessary that I briefly delineate the fundamentalist position at that time.
Fundamentalism is a rather broad movement within Protestanism which claims the absolute inerrancy of the words of the Holy Bible. It attempts to preserve what is considered to be the fundamental ideas of Christianity against criticism by liberal theologians. Bishop Pike noted that the fundamentalist regarded any particular assertion or narrative in the Scriptures that is challenged, qualified, or treated as myth; any attempt to rethink and restate the verities to which the Bible witnesses, fundamentalists suspects of infidelity and unbelief (A Time for Christian Candor).
Between 1909 and 1915, anonymous authors published twelve small volumes entitles, The Fundamentals. Millions of copies were distributed to various religious organizations and institutions. I believe it was about 85 or 90 articles that were written for the series with at least 30 devoted to the issue of biblical authority. The spirit of the work coincided with the spirit of early fundamentalism ? calm, determined, intending merely the reaffirmation of what was perceived as fundamental truths. It was from the title of the publication that the movement got its name.

As moms we all tend to get the blues, we are always running here and running there. It is very important to take time for you!
Being a mom there is so much pressure not just from the outside but from what we put on ourselves also we all need to learn to take a break once in awhile and be able to revive our body and soul in order to be all we can be.
I have found a few things that I like to do whenever I feel the blues creeping up on me. Here is a list of things I enjoy doing and always helps me.
Warm up.
Give yourself 15 minutes in the morning so you can wake up slowly, set the alarm clock for 15 minutes before you really need to get up so that you can have the satisfaction of hitting the snooze button at least once.
Eat a 3-piece breakfast.
The 3 components of a good breakfast are carbs, proteins, and fats.
EXAMPLE: Cereals with milk or wheat toast or muffins…for protein consider adding low fat yogurt or cottage cheese, or a small piece of chicken or fish.

It goes on to say in chapter 4:1 In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

My grandfather was a very wise man. Simple but wise. He once told me “The only thing you get in life for free is hungry.” There is a lot of truth in that. I see it all the time online and offline that people are looking for the perverbial “free ride.”
Online it takes the form of “get rich quick schemes” and overnight success stories. Promises of quick money for doing nothing. While setting back and doing nothing and watching the money roll in would be nice, the truth is that very few if any get rich quick promises ever pan out.
The thing to look for if you are seriously wanting to start an online business is one that shoots straight from the get go without making promises of exhorbitant amounts of money falling in your lap without you having to do anything. The greatest companies in the world took many years to build and lots of hard work. While it is true that you can start a company with little or no money the flip-side of that coin is you will have to put in extra time promoting and advertising it.

Paul Hamm, the 2004 men’s all-around champion in gymnastics, was born on September 24, 1982, and has a twin brother by the name of Morgan. Paul was the first American man to take the gold for the all-around competition in a fully attended Olympic Game. He is noteworthy for some controversy surrounding his title.
Carly Patterson was born on February the fourth, 1988, in Baton Rouge,Louisiana, to a pair of loving parents - her mother, Natalie, and her father, Ricky. She is the first of a pair of girls (her younger sister is Jordan). In 2004, she became the first all-around Olympic champion for the United States in more than two decades, and was also the first to win for the US in the past two games. The last female all-around gymnastics champion for the United States won in 1984, when the Soviet Union had boycotted the Olympics entirely.
